2. JOB SUMMARY:
The Creative Copywriter is responsible for developing original, compelling, and on-brand copy across advertising, digital, social media, and brand campaigns for multiple client accounts managed by Niyat Consultancy. The role works closely with the Creative Director, designers, and account teams to translate briefs into ideas and messaging that engage audiences and support client business objectives. The position combines creative concept development, copywriting across formats and channels, brand voice stewardship, and cross-functional collaboration to help clients tell their brand stories effectively and achieve their marketing goals.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creative Concept Development
- Partner with the Creative Director and design team to generate creative concepts, campaign ideas, and big ideas in response to client briefs.
- Translate client briefs and marketing objectives into copy platforms, messaging frameworks, and campaign narratives.
- Contribute original ideas during brainstorms, creative reviews, and concept development sessions.
- Present copy concepts and creative rationale internally and, when required, directly to clients.
Copywriting Across Channels
- Write clear, persuasive, and brand-aligned copy for digital advertising, websites, email marketing, brochures, and campaign collateral.
- Develop headlines, taglines, slogans, scripts, and voiceover copy for video and audio content.
- Write product and service descriptions, sales materials, and other marketing collateral as required.
- Adapt tone, style, and messaging to suit each client's brand voice, market, and target audience.
Social Media & Digital Content Writing
- Write captions, posts, and campaign copy for social media across multiple client accounts.
- Collaborate with the digital marketing and social media team to align copy with content calendars, campaign timelines, and platform best practices.
- Develop copy for paid digital campaigns on Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Google, and other relevant platforms.
- Ensure copy is optimized for audience engagement, clarity, and platform-specific conventions.
Brand Voice & Messaging
- Develop and maintain tone-of-voice guidelines, key messages, and positioning statements for client brands.
- Ensure consistency of brand voice, terminology, and messaging across all client touchpoints and campaigns.
- Support the development of brand stories, narratives, and messaging architecture for new and existing clients.
Client & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Participate in client briefings, creative reviews, and feedback sessions to understand requirements and objectives.
- Work closely with designers, videographers, digital marketing, and account teams to ensure copy and creative execution are aligned.
- Incorporate client and internal feedback into copy revisions within agreed timelines.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams.
Proposal & Corporate Communication Support
- Support the Creative Director in developing copy for pitch decks, proposals, and new business presentations.
- Assist in writing corporate communication materials, executive summaries, and brand narratives for client-facing and internal use.
- Contribute copy for company profiles, case studies, and credentials presentations as required.
Quality Assurance & Brand Compliance
- Proofread and edit own copy, and where required, copy produced by others, for grammar, clarity, tone, and accuracy.
- Ensure all copy complies with client brand guidelines prior to submission or publishing.
- Maintain organized records of approved copy, messaging documents, and brand voice guides.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain copy trackers, editorial calendars, and creative briefs.
- Document creative decisions, approved messaging, and campaign copy outcomes.
- Assist in preparing client presentations related to messaging, content, and campaign performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Creative Director, Account Manager, or Marketing Manager.
4. QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, English, Literature, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in copywriting, content writing, or creative writing, ideally within a marketing or advertising agency environment.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating range and creativity across formats (digital, social, brand, campaign) is required.
